<p> 1. Fresh Vegetable Juices &#8211; Fresh vegetable juices can get more than enough nutrients than you need and will stave off hunger for hours. A good juicer and some fresh organic vegetables are all you need to replace a meal with a fantastic tasting, nutrient rich juice. For this diet tip, start with carrot and apple juices, then start adding greens like spinach, kale, celery, parsley and bok choy.</p>
<p> 2. Cayenne Pepper &#8211; Cayenne pepper speeds up your metabolism for a period up to 2 hours after you eat it. Every wonder why you sweat after eating something spicy? This is why! A speedy metabolism means quick digestion and more calories burned. You can find this at any grocery store.</p>
<p> 3. A Slice of Lemon in Water &#8211; A slightly acidic water is fantastic for hydration. When a liquid is acidic it carries more hydrogen atoms, this will help hydrate your body. If you use this diet tip to stay hydrated, the less hungry you will be. Lime will also do the trick.</p>
<p> 4. Raw Organic Chocolate (Cacao Beans) &#8211; What your chocolate comes from is actually an incredible superfood. Cacao beans are one of the highest sources of magnesium of any food. Magnesium helps elevate mood and eliminate hunger pangs. Most Americans suffer from low levels of magnesium, which can cause depression and many other psychological issues. Organic cacao beans can be found on the web or at some local health food stores.</p>
<p> 5. Kelp Powder &#8211; Use this as a salt substitute. Sea vegetables have some of the highest mineral content of any plant on earth, so the more minerals you get the better your body functions. When we eat low- or non-mineralized foods our body continues to crave. Add some kelp powder to a salad, avocado, tomato, or put it in your meals and you&#8217;ll get some of the same taste as salt minus the negative effects. You can find this at your local health food store.</p>

As millions of dieters can tell you, though, losing weight isn&#8217;t as easy as it sounds. In order to use more calories than you consume, you either have to eat fewer calories, burn more calories through exercise, or a do combination of both. The problem with this is that eating fewer calories often results in hunger and lack of energy.</p>
<p> A diet that will provide nutrients and energy, as well as a satisfying amount of food, is one that will result in permanent healthy weight loss. So what is this diet?</p>
<p> The secret is the concept of calorie density. The best foods for weight loss are bulky and high in nutrients while being low in calories. This is why vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and legumes are excellent foods to eat for weight loss. They contain a large amount of water and fiber to satisfy hunger, and they also contain a lot of nutrients to provide energy and promote overall health.</p>
<p> On the other hand, the foods dieters should avoid provide very few nutrients, contain little water or fiber, and are high in calories. Fat and/or sugar are what make foods calorie dense and nutrient poor. We all know which foods these are! Ice cream, hamburgers, deep dish pizza, and cake are just a few examples.</p>
<p> If you want to be satisfied and feel healthy on a weight loss diet, you have to eat foods that contain a lot of water, fiber, and nutrients. Eating these foods will make you feel great! And when you feel good and see the scale moving in the right direction, it can be easier than ever to keep losing weight.</p>
<p> The reason many diets fail is that they just plain make you feel miserable. They rely on nutrient-poor, fiber less foods like meal replacement shakes and bars. These diets are destined to fail because they can&#8217;t be sustained over the long term. No one can eat like that forever!</p>
<p> Diets that do work are ones that make you feel so good you want to keep it up. Eating nutrient-packed vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and legumes along with low fat meats and dairy products (if you so desire) is healthy, satisfying, and will result in reaching your perfect weight and optimum health.</p>

Foods with calories are strictly limited. In order for detox diet to work effectively, there must be consistency in your practice. Avoid skipping the required food intake to avoid having to keep on restarting your diet. It is important that you are serious in your detox diet in order to achieve the desired result. </p>
<p> If you are among those individual that have problems in losing weight to achieving the proper body weight for your age and height, then try the detox diet. You may have to consult your doctor if it is ideal for you with regards to your health and physical condition. Beware if you are a nursing woman, children, and pregnant because detox diet is not for you. For those who have illness such as anemia, liver disease, kidney problem, diabetic, low blood pressure, into drug and alcohol addiction, doctor consultation is a must. It is imperative that the detox diet is approved by you doctor to avoid unnecessary problems.</p>

<p> Although you may be tempted to start a fad diet (or crash diet as they are also known) that promises to help you lose amazing amounts of weight in a few days, you need to think carefully before you make your decision. The fact is that many of these diets fail to produce lasting results.</p>
<p> These diets usually fall into one of two categories: the reduced calorie or restricted food diets (where you must avoid certain foods and only eat from a very restricted group of allowed foods), or the diets that require you to use special supplements, such as diet pills, bars or drinks.</p>
<p> While it&#8217;s true that you will lose a few pounds quickly on these fad diets, what you may not know is that is only a temporary result. You are actually losing pounds of water, not fat, which is your body&#8217;s reaction to starvation. As soon as you stop the diet, your body will soak these water-pounds up again like a sponge.</p>

Your body needs a steady supply of vitamins, minerals and dietary fiber to ensure it remains healthy.</p>
<p> Over time, your metabolism will suffer and slow down as you lose muscle mass. This makes it even harder for your body to burn calories, making it harder to lose weight as time goes by.</p>

<p class="articletext"> So your looking to eat healthy? Well one fo the best ways to get started is to get the balance of carbs,(carbohydrates), proteins and fats right first. The reason is, these are the essential foundations of any diet plan and everything from there is just a question of balance and adjusting to suit your likes and dislikes.</p>
<p> With around 4 calories being produced by one gram of protein it is not suprising that we are encouraged to eat plenty of protein rich foods such as eggs and dairy products (which of course also contain fats), red meats fish and steaks.</p>
<p> When looking at carbs like protein we find that calorifically around 1g of carbohydrate will produce about 4 calories of energy. However when comparing carbs it is much harder as they are more complex and in addition to being food in nature than can also be found in food that is manufactured.</p>
<p> Carbohydrates which are found in nature include rice,some pulses (such as beans),potato&#8217;s in various different guises, and oatmeal but this is just the tip of the iceberg a wider range of man made carbs are found in cookies, candies, and cakes plus a whole slew of other processed foods.</p>
<p> I am guessing you have probably worked out by now that I was saving the best (or worst in this case until last) .That&#8217;s right a single gram of fat creates a massive 225% more energy at 9 calories (that&#8217;s more than twice the amount of protein and carbohydrate). Is it that simple?</p>
<p> But of course as I am sure you know there is more than one type of fat they are classed as good fats (mono unsaturated fats and poly unsaturated fats) and bad fats (saturated fats) and the less widely know very bad (trans fats or trans fatty acids to give then their full name)</p>
<p> To maintain a healthy body you need to get a balance of all 3 of these in equal proportion but avoiding large amounts or unsaturated fats and avoid when at all possible all tran fats.</p>
<p> If you choose to have a diet which has a high level of fat or indeed a high level of carbohydrate (especially man made carbs) you increase your chances dramatically to having problems with your weight.If you continue this way may end up extremely obese or as doctors use the term morbidly obese.</p>
<p> Since fat has substancially more calories per gram than both protein &#038; carbohydrates, just ensure the bulk of your diet is a balance of the first two food groups with some healthy fats thrown in for good measure.</p>
<p> We will examine the different types of fat individually.</p>
<p> Mono Unsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFA&#8217;s).. Mono unsaturated fats are found at room temperature normally in the form of vegetable oils,nuts and seeds.</p>
<p> Polyunsaturated Fatty Acids (Polyunsaturated Fats):- These are are most commonly found in vegetable oils, fish and seafood. They are liquid or soft at room temperature.Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are types of Polyunsaturated fats and are considered essential fatty acids because our bodies need them but don&#8217;t make them, thus they must be obtained through the diet. Some times referred to as PUFA&#8217;s.</p>
<p> Saturated Fats (Saturated Fatty Acids) are usually solid at room temperature and are found mainly in foods from animal sources like meat, dairy products and butter. Some vegetable oils such as coconut, palm kernel and palm oil are also full of saturated fatty acids.</p>
<p> Trans Fats (TFA&#8217;s):- These are manufactured vegetable oils which have been specially processed to become solid at room temperature by the addition of hydrogen. You may have heard them called hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils or fats. They have been used in some margarines,junk foods and processed snacks which the manufacturers claim enhances their flavor and shelf life.</p>
<p> A guide is if it comes from a plant it is usually better for you than if it came from animal. Animal fats are found in butter, pastry and shortening as saturated fat. But fats from plants such as Olive Oil, sun flower oil and some margarines (read the label) are unsaturated fats. Unsaturated fat is better for you but will still make you fat.</p>

<p> Whenever we hear someone say this, it&#8217;s usually accompanied by glum looks and a gesture of despair. It&#8217;s normal to think of dieting as some kind of punishment, isn&#8217;t it? It has to be hard, it has to be a grind&#8230; otherwise you can&#8217;t be taking it seriously! It&#8217;s ingrained in our culture that &#8216;going on a diet&#8217; is something undesirable, even nasty.</p>
<p> This is partly down to all the media guff that goes with the latest (unhealthy) dieting quirks: gluten free, grapefruit, New Totals, high fiber&#8230; You name it, there&#8217;s always some variation on the dieting theme. Nobody really likes the sound of these diets, and we fully expect them to be unpleasant&#8230; but that&#8217;s okay, they&#8217;ll &#8216;do us good&#8217;.</p>
<p> But can we rely on them?</p>
<p> Weight loss may soon be apparent and you&#8217;ll feel greatly encouraged. But statistics show that most people give up sooner rather that later, and even go back to their old ways with a vengeance! No wonder! How long can your spirits if not your body survive on cabbage and melons?</p>
<p> Give Me Answers Now!</p>
<p> Do you remember the old song by Queen: &#8216;I want it all, I want it now&#8217;? We&#8217;ve become so used to this mentality that we apply it to dieting regimes as well. Are we sick of the sight of our bodies? Is our weight affecting our health? Okay, let&#8217;s put it right &#8211; here and now! Often we suspect a certain program can&#8217;t be good, but the advertisers and copy writers know how to push our buttons. So we part with our cash, telling ourselves we&#8217;ll just give this rapid (but unhealthy) dieting plan a try.</p>
<p> Some folks even opt for stomach bypass surgery, that&#8217;s how desperate they are for quick results. Even though this procedure was designed for extremely obese patients, they will ignore their doctor&#8217;s advice and go for private treatment.</p>
<p> Healthy v. Unhealthy Dieting</p>
<p> The tendency to bury our heads in the sand is a very human trait &#8211; and it&#8217;s one that many dieters are prone to! Let&#8217;s be up front and face the facts. In order to acquire the shapely, healthy body of your dreams you need to do two things over a period of time. One is to nourish your body with the correct amount of foods from the different food groups so that you meet your needs. The other is to engage in moderate physical activity.</p>
<p> Hold on, this is not necessarily bad news! Forget the diets that stick to one thing. You can indulge your passions. There&#8217;s no need to feel deprived. As long as you have a regulated plan and stick to it, you&#8217;ll feel great &#8211; and your health and weight will be fine.</p>
<p> So toss those unhealthy dieting plans &#8211; and all the misery that goes with them &#8211; out the window. Look forward to an improved figure, an improved self-image, more balance in your emotional life. That dessert or cookie is no longer forbidden, provided you keep to your daily limits and are reasonably active. Who says dietng has to be unhealthy? It doesn&#8217;t even have to be unpleasant?</p>

<p> In fact, fast weight loss diets, such as the Atkins Diet and the South Beach Diet, often have phases instructing you to put your body in a a state called &#8220;ketosis&#8221; where it switches from using carbohydrate for energy to using fat by eliminating carbohydrate from your diet. Not only will you lack many vital nutrients by doing this, it is very extreme and unnecessary, and very difficult to follow through.</p>
<p> What no-one tells you is that it&#8217;s only realistic for your body to lose two pounds a week of fat and anything else you lose on a fast weight loss diet will be either muscle or water loss. Not only is this very bad for your health but your body uses up fewer calories as you lose muscle. Water loss also causes you to become dehydrated, since your body is 75% water.</p>
<p> Another side effect of fast weight loss diets is that sudden changes in your diet where you eat a lot less than normal could trigger your body&#8217;s natural starvation response. Your body will then conserve its energy and won&#8217;t let go of your body fat, which is why often dieters find their fat loss stalling despite how low their calories are.</p>
<p> Something else to consider is that it is very likely that you will re-gain any weight you lost on a fast weight loss diet when you complete your diet. This is due to the extremely restrictive nature of low-carb diets which can result in cravings and subsequent binges as you fall back into your old way of eating, and is also due to the muscle loss which slows down your metabolism.</p>
<p> On top of all this you also have fast weight loss diet programs which tell you to pay for monthly supplies of &#8220;necessary&#8221; shakes, bars and other supplements while making huge weight loss claims in return. Since 9 out of 10 dieters return to dieting after putting the weight they lost back on imagine how many customers are sucked into the hype, invested hundreds of dollars on fast weight loss diets, only to find that despite all that money they invested they&#8217;re back where they started!</p>
<p> The key to successfully and permanently losing the fat is not to drastically lower calories, nor to label carbs as evil and avoid them like the plague, as many fast weight loss diets advocate. Instead, you will get more effective results by changing your eating habits and eating smaller, but more frequent meals and cutting way back on processed, fatty and high-sugar foods.</p>
<p> Fast weight loss diet plans and programs should be avoided if you want to lose the fat safely. The only solution to permanent weight loss is to make healthy eating part of your lifestyle by replacing your negative habits, and incorporate regular exercise into your routine. This should include both aerobic exercise which helps melt the fat off and strength/resistance training which will build muscle to speed up your metabolism and avoid muscle loss, something many fast weight loss diets are guilty of.</p>
